In the PC(USA), our churches are governed by elected members to serve as ruling elders for a term of three years. These members are then trained, examined and ordained to guide and lead our church in all areas of ministry along side the pastor who is moderator of the session. Our session normally meets the third Monday of each month at 7pm.

The Session
We have traditional worship (with a choir Sept-May) every Sunday at 10:30am in the sanctuary. We celebrate communion typically the first Sunday of each month.
Christmas Eve Service with Candlelighting and Communion is at 7pm.
Through out the year (except during Lent and Advent) we have on the second and fourth Wednesdays, a Wednesday Night Lite Service with a simple dinner. Meal and worship begins at 5:15pm in the education building's auditorium. Done by 6:30.
Ash Wednesday Service: 12pm
Each Wednesday in Lent we have a dinner and contemplative worship service starting at 5:30pm. The dinner is in the fellowship hall and worship in the sanctuary.
Holy Week:
Maundy Thursday service 6:00pm
Good Friday Service 2pm
Easter Sunday Service 10:30a.m.
Worship Opportunities
One thing is for certain, we like spending time with each other! In addition to worship, we get together throughout the year for meals, women's circles, Bible Study, mission and service, fundraising and just because we like building up our community of faith.
We are a small but active congregation that genuinely loves one another!
Additionally, our church hosts many groups with/for/alongside the community. Some of our groups are:
Baltimore County Early Headstart & Headstart: M-F in the Educational Building
Boy Scout Troop 16 (Wednesdays at 7pm in the Education Building)
Cub Scout Pack 16 (Wednedays at 7pm in the Education Building)
Girl Scout Troop 5335 (1st and 3rd Fridays in the Education Building at 6:30pm)
AA Open Meeting: every Friday Night at 8:30pm in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
The Imaginative Cinema Society- last Saturdays of the month at 5:30pm in the Auditorium in the Education Building.
Linover Association: 3rd Tuesday of the month, 7pm in the Fellowship Hall.
TOPS (Taking off pounds sensibly): Monday mornings at 9am in the Fellowship Hall
Fellowship
We strive to be faithful and active members in our community. We have partnered with Linover, the Scouts and county police to host a safety day, yard sale and silent auction. Our building is used almost daily by members of our neighborhood. If there are ways we can pray for you, serve you or partner with you, let us know. We collect food and clothes for St. Mathias's food pantry and clothes closet. We have annual community day, a blessing of the animals and other fun activities throughout the year to engage our community!
A part of the community
There are many on-going ministry opportunities at Kenwood!
Tuesday Morning Bible Study, 10:30am-12pm, weekly
Presbyterian Women's Circle, 10am, 3rd Wednesdays of the month
Chancel Choir, rehearsals at 7:15pm on Wednesdays during the choir season. (Sings weekly in church)
Annual Chicken Salad Luncheon, Christmas Bazzar, Advent Family Fun Nights (the four Sundays before Christmas, 4-6pm) just to name a few ways you can get involved!

If you would like to help make sure Kenwood is able to continue its ministry to the community and to God, you are welcome to click here to contribute online through the Presbyterian Foundation. We are a small church with a big heart, but we are an aging church with real needs as well. Thank you for your prayers and support!
Your Gifts are Appreciated :)
We are a diverse group of believers, ranging from toddler to a century in age, hailing from seven countries and we are diverse on our political views as well. However, we are intentional and meaningful in practicing hospitality- no matter your stripe! We need your voice to blend in with ours so we can be fully the body of Christ!
You are always welcome here!
